Freight forwarders operating on U.S. inbound, seaborne routes face continued pressure from elevated volumes after growth of 31.2% year over year in June as well as a 20.4% rise compared to June 2019. The growth in imports from China is slowing while Europe is accelerating. The differential had an impact on the relative performance of the forwarders with Asia-centric Hecny’s volumes declining by 8.0% year over year.
